Iwamuro Onsen(hot spring) is located in the foothills of the Kakudayama and Yahikoyama of the approximate center of the Niigata Prefecture. Niigata Prefecture is located in the Japan Sea side of Honshu.
It is a journey of about two and a half hours in the Joetsu Shinkansen from Tokyo.

Hokuriku Expressway
Approximately 30 minutes from Sanjo-Tsubame IC toward Yoshida-Yahiko
Approximately 15 minutes from Maki-Katahigashi IC via National Route 116

From Niigata Airport
Approximately 10 minutes by bus or taxi to Niigata Station. Take the JR Echigo Line to Yoshida, get off at Iwamuro Station, and then take a 5-minute taxi ride.
If you are using JR(by train)
Joetsu Shinkansen Tsubame-Sanjo Station (approximately 2 hours from Tokyo)
Take the Yahiko Line to Yoshida Station or Yahiko Station, then a 5-10 minute taxi ride.
From Niigata Station, take the JR Echigo Line to Yoshida Station, then a 5-minute taxi ride to Iwamuro Station.
